Event 1 - Friday 13th October 2017
Instructor Jerry Summers. 1900 x 2100 theory evening. Roles and responsibilities of Safety bot, Risk management, SB charter and kit lists, race management and ratios, Mark laying theory, line bias, sectors of cover and start sequence.
Event 2 - Saturday 14th October 2017
Instructors Jerry Summers / Robin Lobb. SW F3 - F4 warm and overcast. VHF usage, hand held radio, Canoe, windsurfer and oppie recovery videos. Safety kits and flares. On water PB2 skills refresher. Practical recoveries of Oppie, canoe ad winsurfer. PM videos of single and double hander recoveries and persons in the water. PM practicals of pico recoveries and towing alongside across seat.. Stream and drop pin end and windward marks. Finish with high speed manoeuvres in close proximity.
Event 3 - Sunday 15th October 2017
Instructors Jerry Summers / robin Lobb. SW F3 - F4, Warm and sunny. Additional double hander recovery videos, Datum search theory, lee shore dangers. Throw line practice ashore, Refuel RIBS. Tow out of Pico and Bahia. Double hander recoveries including inversion.. Person recoveries from the water and different methods. Sector searchs using datum mark. Pico and canoe rescues as ex via VHF info received. Hip tow and inline tow back in. Theory engines and drives, hull types. Kite surfer videos, multi hull videos. End of course de-brief.
